This has to be the most sumptuous and welcoming B and B we've ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble and the hosts Jeremy and Arabella were most accommodating. We'd certainly recommend eating here too.
Manor Farm is in one of the most tranquil and unspoilt areas of the country, surrounded by picturesque views and attractive villages.
If you want relaxation in lavish, yet homely surroundings this is the place to go.
Possibly the best B & B I have ever stayed in. As you drive through the wooden gates you are met by an idyllic scene of a quaint old Church surrounded by beautiful green pasture, pulling up on the gravel drive in front a grand old Georgian House. The hostess Arabella makes you feel at home offering every comfort that you might need, the rooms are filled with beautiful furniture and swathed in comfort. The meals are both delicious and home cooked to the last mouthful. To say I didnt want to leave is an understatement! I would thoroughly recommend it, except if you try it, she may be fully booked by the time we want to visit again!
My friend and I stayed for one night and had a great time - the hosts were so welcoming and made us feel at home and comfortable immediately. Breakfast was wonderful and I loved the special touches - like home made cookies available in the bedroom with the tea and coffee supplies. The beautiful and very restful house is set in lovely countryside - perfect for a morning walk across the fields.
Absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay. The accommodation is very luxurious, Arabella's welcome very warm and breakfast was delicious. The dogs felt very much at home also - we'll definitely be back again!
We have just returned from a fantastic weekend break at Manor Farm.
We were looking for somewhere special to stay in Dorset at the last minute and saw Manor Farm advertised on Britain's Finest. A call to the owner was returned within 30 minutes and a couple of hours later we had arrived.
Arabella and her husband ensured that our stay was exceptional and very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome in their home.
We stayed in a double room which was enormous with a large, comfortable bed. The en-suite was also large (enormous) and very well furnished. Both the bedroom and bathroom had beautiful views over the garden and surrounding countryside.
Breakfast was a variety of choices including a full English sourced locally (and in particular the fantastic home made marmalade!) and was served in a separate, elegant dining room. When the weather was good, breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the garden. It would have been quite easy to have spent the whole day lounging there on the terrace enjoying the peace and tranquillity.
Manor Farm is in an idyllic part of Dorset. If you are looking for a relaxing break in a peaceful location with wonderful hosts, then you will not be disappointed.
Staying at Manor Farm is pure joy. Bella and Jeremy are considerate beyond expectation, nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are stunning, the guests' drawing room a real treat and home made everything for a proper English breakfast, including the yellow scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Character, history, quality in every regard, Manor Farm is much more than a B & B.
